We are proud to announce that C.I.Agent Solutions was awarded the Phoenix Award today as part of Greater Louisville Inc.’s 2010 Inc.credible Awards. Greater Louisville Inc., the Louisville metro chamber of commerce, presents the Inc.credible Awards annually to honor the accomplishments of small businesses in the greater Louisville area.
We accepted the Inc.Credible Award as a small business that has endured a uniquely challenging circumstance or natural disaster, and successfully emerged from it stronger and poised for growth. The award was presented in recognition of the recent use of our innovative and alternative technologies for oil spill cleanup and recovery efforts in the Gulf of Mexico during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Our flagship product, C.I.Agent®, is an environmentally-friendly blend of food-grade polymers that solidifies hydrocarbons (sheen, gasoline, diesels, and oil) into a recyclable rubber-like mass. Used for both preparedness and response efforts, C.I.Agent® is listed on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) NCP Product Schedule*.
Marketing Director B.J. O’Banion-Daniel accepted the award on behalf of President and Founder Dan Parker. According to O’Banion-Daniel, “There is an urgent need to discover, develop and deploy alternative oil spill cleanup technologies before a disaster strikes. At C.I.Agent Solutions, we continue to develop innovative solutions for fuel and oil spill cleanup and containment, and we would like to thank Greater Louisville Inc. for acknowledging our efforts.”
Hosts for this year’s 2010 Inc.credible Awards were Kevin Harned (Wave 3) and Julie Smith (WBKI), and guest speakers included Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson and President of Greater Louisville Inc. Joe Reagan. The award presentation was sponsored by Strothman & Company, PSC.
