As an educational service to marina operators, we are providing a free booklet that outlines EPA guidance regarding non-point source pollution. This reference tool covers EPA best management practices for stormwater runoff, fuel station management and petroleum control.
Designed to help marina owners with SPCC (Spill Prevention, Containment and Countermeasures) guidelines, the booklet includes definitions of terms, reporting requirements and recommended equipment. Nine case studies focus on issues such as sheen removal, oil spills, diesel cleanup, salvage recovery, secondary containment and bilge maintenance.
Listed on the EPA National Contingency Plan Product Schedule, the C.I.Agent® oil solidifier is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly polymer that turns fuel, oil and other hydrocarbons into reusable solids. Our wide product line ranges from barrier booms and bilge bags to storm drain inserts and rapid response kits. We have received the 2010 WorkBoat Environmental Award for our recovery efforts in the Gulf following the Deepwater Horizon explosion.
We are showcasing at the International Oil Spill Conference on May 23-26 in Portland, Oregon.
