One EVAC Filtration System works great, but how about 7?

ComEd in Illinois uses the C.I.Agent® EVAC Filtration System to assist in the dewatering of vaults and manholes in the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. The C.I.Agent EVAC System uses state-of-the-art filtration technology to remove suspended solids and light sheen from water discharge operations. A mandate from ComED management to decrease the total time to dewater a manhole/vault initiated their environmental contractor to develop a better, faster way. He was very satisfied with the performance of the EVAC System and wanted to continue its use in some fashion. He created a manifold where the crew could hook up seven EVAC Filters to a 2500+ GPM centrifugal pump, also known as the squid system. This allowed the crew to pump out a manhole/vault in a matter of minutes. From the initial set-up to tear down, the crew could pump out ComEd’s largest vaults/manholes in 30 minutes or less.

The environmental crew always keeps 1-2 EVAC Filtration Systems on their trucks just in case one or more starts to “blind” after being used multiple times.
