C.I.Agent Oil Filtration Walls are passive, self-activating secondary oil containment systems that work best with existing secondary containment units exhibiting issues with water retention or poor drainage, in non-permeable soil types. Water flows through the C.I.Agent Oil Filtration Walls, which are composed of non-woven geotextile material and patented C.I.Agent® Agent-Q (US Patent 8,986,822), an innovative filtration media capable of a high water flow rate, while blocking the passage of hydrocarbons. If a large release occurs, the C.I.Agent polymers in the panels solidify and shut off, preventing hydrocarbons from escaping the containment site. The system meets SPCC requirements 40 CFR 112.7; U.S.D.A. The C.I.Agent HFF Oil Stop Valve provides passive drainage by filtering and processing water and runoff at a containment site, while removing hydrocarbons to a non-detectable level. Constructed from durable, perforated plastic casing containing C.I.Agent® solidifying polymers, the HFF is capable of capturing and encapsulating all organic hydrocarbons, such as sheen, gasoline, diesel, refined oils and more. It is an ideal option for solving water issues in both new and existing secondary containment designs. In the event of a major release, the HFF automatically shuts down the water flow and prevents oil from leaving the site. Each HFF is custom built to process water at a pre-determined rate, specified by the customer. In addition to complying with SPCC mandates, this system may also be utilized to provide a level of redundancy to ensure a release is contained if the primary containment system fails. It is covered by a Product Liability and Pollution Insurance Policy of up to $7 million*.

Note: To perform effectively, the HFF requires a minimum of one foot head pressure or should be installed at a 10 degree slope to push the storm water through the filter.
